Help: Summon Two different systems use the word summon. 1. The old spell path sling 'summon' <target> This is the legacy spell-name path. It is a targeted transport spell. It tries to pull another character to your room. It can be blocked by summon protection, no-recall rooms, no-astral zones, fighting status, and other normal spell restrictions. 2. The follower command path summon summon paladin summon sword summon predation This is the newer follower-summon command. Typing summon by itself shows the follower summons your character currently knows. These do not try to pull another player to you. They call an allied NPC follower. Available Follower Summons Curist level 20: summon paladin Slinger level 20: summon sword / summon predation Important Difference Use sling 'summon' <target> for the old targeted Summon spell. Use summon <type> for class followers such as Paladin or Sword of Predation. Builder Note In code terms, SPELL_SUMMON is the old spell identifier. The command do_summon handles the newer follower list and sends valid choices to the summoning routine. See Also help call paladin help sword of predation help nosummon help word of recall
