Also known as: SOLO-SELF-FOUND · SOLO · SELF · FOUND · SELF-FOUND~
SSF - SOLO SELF FOUND@N
SSF stands for Solo Self Found. It is an optional
challenge mode for players who want a stricter, self-contained
route through NukeFire.
An SSF character is expected to use only what that character
personally earns, finds, crafts, loots, gathers, or creates.
THE BASIC RULE@N
If you did not find it yourself, you should not be able to use it.
SSF items carry an original-finder stamp. The game tracks who first
earned the item and which SSF season it belongs to. When an SSF
character tries to wear, wield, implant, tattoo, socket, use an item
for spirit binding, sell, or otherwise use it, the item must belong to that
character for the current SSF season.
CHOOSING SSF@N
When SSF is active, new characters may be offered the choice during
character creation.
Choosing SSF marks the character as a Solo Self Found player for
the current SSF season.
This is intended to be a serious playstyle choice. SSF limits trade
and outside help, but it gives a cleaner sense of progression:
every upgrade came from your own path.
SSF ITEM STAMPS@N
Items earned through valid game sources may receive an SSF stamp.
Examples include:
- Items looted from mobs you kill.
- Quest rewards awarded directly to you.
- Crafted items made by you.
- Gathered materials converted into real objects by you.
- Random-generation rewards spawned from your own play.
- Jewels or modules returned from your own socketed or ported gear.
- Special inks you personally find before they are applied.
The stamp records the original finder and SSF season. Identify can
show SSF ownership information on stamped items.
WHAT SSF CHARACTERS CAN USE@N
An SSF character can use an item when:
- The SSF system is active.
- The character is flagged SSF.
- The item has an SSF original-finder stamp.
- The stamp belongs to that character.
- The stamp matches the current SSF season.
This applies to gear, weapons, implants, tattoos, sockets, spirit
bindings, crafted rewards, and similar permanent power paths.
WHAT SSF CHARACTERS CANNOT USE@N
An SSF character cannot use items found by other players.
This includes:
- Gear handed to you by another player.
- Items dropped on the ground for you.
- Items taken from another player's corpse.
- Unstamped items from invalid or unknown sources.
- Items stamped to a different SSF character or season.
Trying to wear or use the wrong item will be blocked.
CREDITS AND MONEY@N
SSF also protects the credit economy.
An SSF character cannot receive direct player-transferred credits.
Player-to-player credit giving is blocked if either side is SSF.
Money objects must be valid for the SSF character before they can
be claimed. If someone drops credits for an SSF player, those
credits should not become usable SSF money.
Credits earned from valid play may still be used normally. Once
valid credits are in your hands, normal bank deposit and withdrawal
are allowed.
SHOPS@N
Selling is restricted. An SSF character may only sell items that
belong to that SSF character. This prevents outside gear from being
converted into usable credits.
CRAFTING, SOCKETS, IMPLANTS, AND TATTOOS@N
SSF checks apply to major item-improvement systems.
An SSF character must own the item before using paths such as:
- Implant installation.
- Tattoo installation.
- Spirit binding and unbinding through Scarthex.
- Inscribing and uninscribing.
- Socketing and unsocketing.
- Implant module porting and unporting.
- Tattoo channel cutting and special-ink application.
- Faceted Forge Master, Portwright, and Ink-Master work.
- Crafting reward creation.
When a system rebuilds an object, such as returning a jewel from
a socket or a module from an implant, the returned object is stamped
back to the SSF character when appropriate.
Special ink is never rebuilt or returned after removal. Lasering an
ink destroys it. Removing an inked tattoo destroys every special ink
installed in that tattoo, even for an SSF character.
DEATH AND LOOTING@N
SSF players receive extra protection from automatic death looting.
If an SSF character dies, mob pillager-style looting should not
steal that character's equipment or carried items during death
processing.
This does not mean SSF removes death consequences.
IDENTIFYING SSF ITEMS@N
The identify spell can show SSF ownership information.
It may show:
- Original finder name.
- Original finder ID.
- SSF season.
- Whether the item is allowed for you.
- Whether the item is unstamped or blocked.
This is useful when checking older items, crafted rewards, sockets,
or gear recovered from storage.
When SSF mode is inactive, the master gate is off. Existing SSF
flags and item stamps remain stored, but enforcement is paused.
When SSF mode is active, SSF restrictions apply again.
WHY PLAY SSF?@N
SSF is for players who enjoy a clean, personal progression path.
You are not racing the market. You are not relying on hand-me-downs.
You are building your character from what the world gives you and
what you can earn yourself.
Every upgrade has a story.
TEST STATUS@N
SSF is in broad test use. Rules, rewards, edge cases, and wording
may continue to be adjusted as real play exposes problems.
Please report anything that seems wrong, especially:
- An SSF character using an item they should not be able to use.
- A valid SSF item being blocked.
- A crafted or returned item missing its SSF stamp.
- A credit transfer loophole.
- A death, corpse, socket, tattoo, implant, or shop edge case.
