Help: Quiet Combat and Combat Summaries Quiet combat is the family of output helpers used by reader and compactcombat. Screen Reader Screen-reader mode favors stable event lines and summaries. Multi-hit skills and gun rounds may count landed hits, misses, and total damage instead of printing every repeated strike. Compact Combat Compact combat suppresses many ordinary per-swing lines and prints a cleaner end-of-round summary. It does not replace screen-reader mode; if reader mode is on, reader behavior takes priority. Guns Gunfire has its own round summary because gun code knows shot counts, misses, and damage. This keeps burst fire and dual-gun rounds readable. Mechanics Quiet combat changes text, not mechanics. Damage, misses, procs, critical hits, death blows, and resource costs still happen normally.
