Help: Major Wound Major Wound is a socket and gear combat rating that can cut into an enemy's maximum HP when the effect applies. It is especially useful against large enemies, long fights, bosses, minibosses, and anything with a deep health pool. How It Works - Major Wound is not direct damage. - It lowers maximum health instead of adding another hit. - It is proc-based, so it does not happen on every swing. - It is mainly tied to eligible melee and socket-style attacks. Player Scaling Player Major Wound is meant to stack over time as a broad 1-1000 rating. Higher rating keeps helping longer, but it is not a direct percent. The rating scales slowly toward the old combat ceiling. NPC Scaling NPC and mob-file Major Wound values still use the older builder-friendly 1-100 style. This keeps existing mobs readable and familiar. Good For - Bosses and minibosses. - Long fights. - Physical or socket-jewel based damage builds. - Characters who want enemies to become easier to finish.
