Help: Hits Per RoundWhat HPR Means
Hits Per Round is the number of core melee swings combat can use before
later class, dual-wield, and other round-specific extra-hit rolls.
Every player keeps one guaranteed base combat swing. Weight and armor can
reduce extra hits below zero in the raw math, but they cannot remove that
first guaranteed swing.
The Important Numbers
Use whatsmy hpr for the full breakdown.
Raw One Hit total
Base One Hit + remort packet + equipment and active affects.
Raw extra after burden
Raw One Hit after low-weight bonus, weight penalty, and armor penalty.
This value may be negative and is useful for seeing how far a build is
below the effective floor.
Effective extra hits
The extra swings combat can actually use after the 0 to 9 clamp.
Effective Core HPR
One guaranteed base swing + effective extra hits. Player Core HPR is
therefore never below 1 and normally cannot exceed 10.
One Hit to next Core HPR
How much additional One Hit, or equivalent reduction in burden, is
needed before Effective Core HPR increases by one.
Weight
HPR uses an effective weight of:
(worn weight / 2) + carried weight
This is intentionally different from ordinary total carried weight.
Characters under the light-weight threshold can receive the historical
low-weight bonus. Larger effective weight can subtract extra hits.
Armor
HPR burden uses actual armor, including armor beyond the normal combat
mitigation cap. Very deep negative armor can therefore continue to cost
extra HPR even after additional armor no longer improves mitigation.
Last Assembled Round HPR
While fighting, whatsmy hpr can show the last assembled round HPR.
This includes that round's class and dual-wield extra-hit rolls, so it may
change from round to round.
This is different from Effective Core HPR, which is the stable value
after One Hit, weight, and armor are applied.
AFXafx and sr afx use the same HPR reporting logic. They separate
raw One Hit, raw post-burden extra, effective extra hits, raw Core HPR,
effective Core HPR, and the HPR-specific effective weight.
